Last War Alliance War Strategy: The Complete Guide
LW Spy · Independent fan website
Alliance wars are the endgame of Last War: Survival. Whether you are fighting a neighbor alliance for territory or competing in Kingdom vs Kingdom events, the alliance that has better intelligence wins. Raw troop power matters, but knowing where to hit, when to hit, and who to avoid is what separates winning alliances from losing ones.
Phase 1: Pre-War Intelligence Gathering
Before declaring war, scan the enemy alliance using the Alliance Scanner. Map every member, note their power levels, and identify their strongest and weakest players. Check shield discipline — how many members maintain shields at all times? Look for bases positioned far from the main cluster. These isolated members are your first targets. Build a target priority list ranked by value (high power + no shield = top priority).
Phase 2: Identifying the Strike Window
Use the Shield Tracker to monitor when enemy shields expire. Schedule your attacks for time zones when the most enemy players are offline (shields dropping from overnight). Coordinate your alliance to have rally leaders online during the strike window. The goal is maximum damage in a short burst before the enemy can react and re-shield.
Phase 3: Coordinated Execution
During the attack phase, assign rally leaders to specific targets. Use the Discord bot to share target coordinates in real-time. Run continuous exposed target scans to catch new opportunities as enemy players panic and make mistakes. Track enemy troop movements with the Troop Tracker to intercept gathering armies. The chaos of a well-coordinated attack often causes enemies to make errors that create additional targets.
Phase 4: Resource Denial
After the initial strike, shift to economic warfare. Use the Troop Tracker to destroy enemy gathering armies. Scan for dispatch missions and plunder them. The goal is to cut off the enemy alliance's resource income so they cannot train replacement troops or upgrade defenses. A resource-starved alliance cannot sustain a war for long.
Phase 5: Maintain Pressure
Wars are not won in a single battle. Keep scanning the enemy alliance daily. Monitor for shield drops, new gathering deployments, and base relocations. The alliance that maintains intelligence superiority throughout the war will control the pace and eventually force the enemy to negotiate or migrate. Consistent spy data is your greatest strategic asset.
Versus Showdown (VS) Wars: A Different Tempo Entirely
A Versus Showdown war is not a 24/7 grind — it is a multi-day point event with structured active windows. Treat it like one. The five-phase model above assumes continuous engagement; in VS, you surge during the active scoring window and mass-shield through the inactive hours to deny easy retaliation points. Pre-window prep is everything: run an Alliance scan on every opposing alliance the day before each window opens to see who has dropped shields early (a sign they are about to push) versus who is conserving (a sign they are saving for the next window). Coordinate your alliance to come online together at the window start; staggered logins mean staggered rallies which the enemy intercepts piece by piece. Enforce shielding the moment the window closes, even if members feel like attacking — the worst time to take damage during VS is in the off-window when defending teammates are AFK.
