Last War Kill Event Strategy: How to Score Maximum Points
LW Spy · Independent fan website
Kill Events (KE) in Last War: Survival reward players for destroying enemy troops and bases. Points are awarded based on the power of troops killed, making target selection critical. Hitting a 50M power player scores exponentially more than hitting ten 1M players. Intelligence tools like LW Spy transform KE from random attacks into surgical strikes.
Pre-KE Preparation
Before the event starts, scan all neighboring servers or rival alliances using the Alliance Scanner. Build a target priority list ranked by power level. Identify which high-power players have poor shield discipline — these are your primary targets. Note their base coordinates and alliance positioning. Share this intelligence with your rally leaders.
Finding High-Value Targets During KE
During the event, run Exposed Target scans every 5-10 minutes. Players constantly drop shields to attack, gather resources, or simply forget to re-shield. Each scan reveals fresh targets. Sort by power descending and rally the highest-value exposed bases immediately. Speed matters — other alliances are scanning too.
Troop Kill Farming
Do not overlook gathering armies. The Troop Tracker finds armies deployed to resource tiles. These armies have no base defenses and are easy to destroy. During KE, many players send troops to gather without realizing it exposes them to troop kills. Systematically destroying gathering armies adds up to significant points.
Post-Attack Shield Hunting
After the initial attack wave, many players panic-shield. Use the Shield Tracker to monitor when these shields expire. Some players activate short shields (1-4 hours) and go offline. Set a timer and scan again when shields start dropping. The second wave often catches players who thought the danger had passed.
Reading the Three Phases of a Multi-Day Kill Event
Multi-day Kill Events have three distinct phases, and each rewards a different scan rhythm. The first 12 hours are noise: high-power players are still online and freshly shielded, exposed-target lists are short, and the players who do appear are mostly newbies who forgot to shield at all. The middle phase (roughly 12-72 hours, depending on event length) is where the real points live: hunters drop shields to score themselves and forget to reactivate, creating cascades of mid-range whales (60-150M power) repeatedly entering the exposed list. Run Exposed Target scans every 5-10 minutes through this window. The final 12 hours are panic mode: contenders who are within striking distance of top-10 spend everything they have, while everyone else mass-shields defensively. The exposed list shrinks but the targets in it are extreme — either desperate hunters or completely-AFK accounts. Adjust your rally cadence to the phase, not to a flat schedule.
Wounded Troop Healing: When Not to Heal Right Away
After a heavy KE, the instinct is to immediately heal every wounded troop. Resist it. Several follow-up events (Wounded Soldier Reward, Survivor Token milestones, infirmary-related daily quests) score on wounded troop counts you currently have, not on troops you have ever produced. Healing too quickly burns the qualifying inventory before the reward window opens. Cap your healing at the level needed to restore offensive capacity for your next planned attack and let the rest sit in the infirmary for 24-72 hours until the matching event lands. Cheap troop tiers (T1-T3) cost almost nothing to heal so you can rebuild offensive power immediately; expensive tiers (T4-T5) are exactly the troops the wounded-soldier events reward most, so leaving those wounded for the window is pure efficiency.
