What is Alliance Flag in Last War: Survival?

The Alliance Flag in Last War: Survival is the building an alliance plants on the world map to claim territory — every member can then teleport for free into the flag's radius, and alliance turrets / fortress structures can be built within it. The flag is the cornerstone of alliance map presence.

How alliance flags work

An alliance R5 or R4 can plant an alliance flag at any unclaimed coordinate on the world map. The flag costs alliance coin (the per-member contribution currency) and has a build time. Once placed, the flag projects a circular radius — the alliance territory — within which alliance members get the benefits.

Each alliance can plant multiple flags as it grows. The first flag is the home flag (special — it's the alliance's spawn point and can't be destroyed without disbanding the alliance). Subsequent flags are outpost flags, which can be destroyed in war by enemy alliances. Most active alliances run 2-4 flags total to cover key gathering zones and rally staging coordinates.

What the flag radius gives members

Free teleport: every alliance member can teleport into the flag radius once per day (or more, with VIP). This is what makes the flag the cornerstone of bloc moves and KvK staging — the entire alliance can collapse onto a single coordinate cluster in minutes.

Gathering buff: resource tiles inside the flag radius give a +10-25% gather speed bonus to alliance members, scaling with alliance tech research.

Building rights: alliance turrets and the fortress can only be built inside flag territory. Without a flag, the alliance has no map defense.

Border auto-attack: if alliance turrets are placed inside the flag, they'll auto-attack any enemy march that crosses the flag boundary, providing passive defense.

Contested flags and territorial wars

Outpost flags can be attacked. An enemy alliance can declare war on the flag, send rally waves until the flag's HP is drained, and destroy it — which kicks all alliance members out of the radius and removes all turrets / buildings tied to it.

Flag wars are the standard pre-KvK warmup. Two rival alliances will fight a flag war for control of a key gathering zone or a strategic chokepoint coordinate. The winner expands their territory; the loser regroups.

During KvK, flag destruction gives the attacking alliance huge score points. Top KvK alliances run a dedicated flag-bash squad specifically to take down enemy outpost flags during the war window.

Flag placement strategy

The best flag coordinates are: (1) near high-level gathering tiles for the resource buff; (2) on the path between your home territory and your main KvK target so the bloc can stage rallies forward; (3) on chokepoints where enemy alliances would have to march through to attack your members.

Avoid: open coordinates with no defensible neighbours, coordinates inside a stronger alliance's territory, and coordinates close to neutral landmark (capital, etc.) where neutral PvE events constantly draw enemy traffic.

Use the LW Spy map scanner to audit the warzone before placing — see where existing alliance flags are clustered, identify uncontested gather zones, and confirm the placement coordinates aren't already claimed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many alliance flags can an alliance have?▾
Typically 1 home flag (mandatory, can't be destroyed) + 3-5 outpost flags depending on alliance tech research level. The cap increases as the alliance levels up.
What happens if my alliance flag is destroyed?▾
All members lose teleport rights into that radius, all turrets and buildings inside the flag are removed, and the radius reverts to neutral territory. The flag can be re-planted later if the alliance has the resources.
Can I plant a flag anywhere on the map?▾
No. The flag must be on unclaimed territory (not inside another alliance's radius) and not on a landmark coordinate. Some KvK / event zones are locked from flag placement entirely.
Who can plant alliance flags?▾
R5 (leader) always. R4 (officers) yes if R5 has granted them the build permission. R3 and below never.
Do flags cost diamonds?▾
No. Flags cost alliance coin (earned by alliance members contributing to alliance buildings and tech). The R5 just needs the alliance to have enough banked coin to pay the build cost.
